• Hi guys, I’ve uploaded a new beta version that you can see on the resources page that has a tweaked algorithm. I can’t get it to pitch shift in Live 10.1. Let me know if you can break it!

  • Hmm a screencap video would be really helpful here. Also, is the track selected by Push still armed?

  • Hi, you can add that functionality via the config software. Select transport control and ‘stop’ from the dropdown.

  • Ok I’m working on an algorithm fix and will post here when I get this worked out.

  • DataLooper has to independently calculate tempo during new session mode. In most circumstances, the calculation agrees with Abletons calculation, but every once in a while, seemingly at bpms below 80 or above 130, Ableton decides the tempo is double or half of DataLooper. When this occurs, the pitch will be off by an octave. If you see this occur…[Read more]

Will be adding in v 1.1. Coming soon…

  • Hmmm is there any way you can post a screen cap video of exactly what you mean? There’s nothing in the script disallowing clip recording if the track is selected on the DataLooper side…I wonder if that’s a Push thing; namely, I wonder if Push somehow disallows clip recording from other devices if it’s focused on a track. I don’t have a Push but…[Read more]

Yep, in the Looper device, bottom right corner change Input->Output from always to never.

  • Hey! I am planning on implementing this. I’m finishing up a mixing project for a band i’m working with (Proxima Parada, check em out!) this week and am planning on going through all the feature requests and trying to do a full update. I’ll keep you posted. 🙂

  • admin replied to the topic Fade before clear? in the forum Bugs/Issues 5 years, 9 months ago

You need to reprogram the clear buttons using the config software to ‘quick fade clear’ or ‘long fade clear’ before that will work. Have you done that? You can open the ‘default config’ found on the resources page up in the config software and modify, then flash.

  • admin replied to the topic USB hub in the forum Bugs/Issues 5 years, 9 months ago

The DataLooper LEDs do draw a decent amount of power so do keep that in mind when using a hub; either use a powered hub, or a 4-port non-powered connected to a USB 3.0 computer port (USB 3 ports put out like twice the power compared to USB 2). I use this one with a USB 3 port and it works fine, even though it’s unpowered…[Read more]

  • admin replied to the topic LED light incorrect in the forum Bugs/Issues 5 years, 9 months ago

Hi. A couple of things to check out. 1st, there was a bug found that would get the LEDs in an incorrect state if the record arm of the looper tracks was turned on and off while a loop was playing. This has been fixed if you re-download and install the current remote script (resources page)…that could have been what you are seeing. The script…[Read more]

Hi sorry for the late reply. Can you walk me through the exact steps to reproduce the problem?

  • admin replied to the topic Preset Switching in the forum Bugs/Issues 5 years, 9 months ago

Figured it out. There was an errant for loop which would only ‘check’ the last button for CC’s rather than checking ‘any’ button. That’s why it worked sometimes. I fixed it. Re-download and re-flash the default firmware (it was updated) using TyTools and thing should work 🙂 Check the Troubleshooting page for flashing instructions. Thanks for…[Read more]

  • admin replied to the topic LED Recall in the forum Feature Requests 5 years, 9 months ago

Also, regarding the recall of the CCs for ‘stompbox’ memory. Make sure you have the DataLooper script selected in Control Surface, then select DataLooper for Input/Output. The script needs to be running as it sends a request to the Ableton system to spit out the value of mapped parameters when it sends a preset change. To check if this is working,…[Read more]

  • admin replied to the topic LED Recall in the forum Feature Requests 5 years, 9 months ago

This functionality is already implemented for Control Change messages (not the toggle sort), if you program the looper to use the same CC# but a different value, it will do this. I’ll keep that in mind for program changes though. The only thing tricky about that is that the looper is the only thing keeping track of what program you’re on, and…[Read more]

  • admin replied to the topic LED Recall in the forum Feature Requests 5 years, 9 months ago

Yes! This is already a thing. All you should have to do is make sure that Track and Remote are turned on for the DataLooper Output port and your CC# messages should sync after changing presets. I am also using it as a pedal board and I made sure this feature worked because I need it to perform with 😉 I’ll add LED option for program changes to my…[Read more]

  • Hi guys. Michael and I just spoke and it turned out that the MicroUSB connector inside the unit had wiggled loose during shipping. Each DataLooper has a USB B female -> MicroUSB male cable inside the enclosure. This cable was added to provide an easy way to fix a unit in the event of someone damaging the USB B connection (beer, yanking crazy hard,…[Read more]

  • If the DataLooper is lighting up but not showing up in Input/Output, that indicates a USB communication issue. The fact that it’s lighting up means it’s getting power, but if it’s not showing up in Input/Output, that means that the computer is not seeing the device. To test the DataLooper, make sure that it’s plugged directly into the computer USB…[Read more]
