Just got DL and have gone thru the setup in the user guide. Everything responded as it was supposed to during set up. However when I load the default config, I can’t get Ableton to respond correctly. Here’s what I’ve tried so far.
1) Loaded remote script file to correct folder
2) Set Ableton Midi setting (control surface input & output) (midi ports Input:Track/Remote=on & output:Track/Sync/Remote=on)
3) Confirmed default config loaded correctly (3rd light bottom row is on)
4) First column of lights come on when DataLooperdefault.als is loaded
5) Ableton is recognizing datalooper midi input. (ableton light flashes)When everything is loaded and I press button #8 one time, nothing happens. When I hit button #8 again the transport button begins “play”. This is also the same for buttons 0 & 4.
I’m relatively new to Ableton so it’s entirely possible I’m missing something simple.
On the default set, the volume is down all the way on the tracks. Could that be the issue? It sounds like the looping is working as the transport starts after a rec/play.
